Maple Ridge Mobile Vet is a mobile veterinary practice based out of Goldsboro, NC, specializing in equine medicine for both pleasure and performance horses of eastern North Carolina, routine preventative care and hospice care for dogs and cats, at-home euthanasia for large dogs, and MagnaWave PEMF certified for all species. Dr. Smith enjoys all aspects of equine veterinary medicine with particular interest in preventative care, nutrition, and performance horse medicine. Dr. Smith and her husband, Nate, primarily work within 30 miles of Goldsboro, NC, but also visit Clayton / Garner and eastern NC (Pink Hill, Richlands, Bath, Wallace, Havelock, Wilmington, New Bern, Topsail, and more). Clients are also welcome to schedule appointments at our farm in Goldsboro (Maple Ridge Farm) to save a travel fee.
Laura Smith, DVM
Laura is NC born and raised, and has been involved in the horse community for over 20 years, from hunters to dressage to reining and barrel racing. Prior to vet school, Laura graduated valedictorian in Animal Science and Poultry Science from NC State University, co 2012. After graduation from NC State College of Veterinary Medicine, co 2016, Laura started Maple Ridge Mobile Vet. Laura has three horses, five mini aussies, two cats, and a variety of chickens and farm animals at her small homestead. In her spare time, she enjoys gardening, sourdough baking, and beach days.
